Gloucestershire Repeater Group have been informed that an application has been made via the RSGB Emerging Technology Co-ordination Committee for a new 70cm Digital Voice repeater to be located in the Forest of Dean area.

The callsign of the proposed repeater is GB7GL, further information on the application is available at http://www.ukrepeater.net/repeaters/gb7gl.htm

Note: Contrary to the suggestion on the above page, the application for this new Repeater has NOT been made by Gloucestershire Repeater Group, we are however aware that some members of GRG are individually involved with the application and others have agreed to act as close-down operators.

Update: (5th June 2009) The RSGB ETCC web-site advises that a NOV has been issued for GB7GL.
